What We Have Learned From Our First Month of Blogging

What We Have Learned

We started our blog at the beginning of February and we have seen our site hit over 800 viewers.  That is more than I thought we would ever get, even in our first year of blogging.  We have become more active on Pinterest, Twitter, and Instagram and I have met many other great followers and even bloggers from bloglovin.com.  I have to say without the help and suggestions by Alexis at FITnancials and Michelle at Making Sense of Cents we wouldn’t have learned nearly as much as we did.  Definitely check out their blogs because they have many great posts and advice on financial help and a healthy lifestyle.  And if you are interesting in starting your own blog then they will inspire you just like they did for us!

People Enjoy our Blog

Many people have already reached out to us and have told us how much they really enjoy reading our blog posts.  They like seeing what we are up to and love our advice.  This is what it is all about!  Enjoying our time and showing people how they can do it too. Since we are mainly a travel and lifestyle blog people like our advice and products we share; through our experiences both good and bad, we hope to inspire others to lead happy and active lives.  We started our blog for our Europe trip as another way to let family know of our many adventures but it has become much more than that.

How Much We Put Into It

Jeff and I combined, are spending 7 days a week on our blog and we love doing it.  We don’t see it as work but truly enjoy what we are doing. This blog has gotten us out of the house more and every day we are trying to think of what our next adventure should be even if it is just a small one. We are also trying to diversify what we do; short and long hikes, family and friend outings to restaurants and breweries. The reason we are doing this is because we are fortunate to have a very diverse and colorful web of people in our lives and can also embark on many different types of adventures because of where we live.

We want to inspire you to try new things and step out of your comfort zone, at least a little bit. We hope you have enjoyed our blog and will continue enjoying it, because we have many new exciting adventures coming your way!

Congratulations on your first month of blogging! These are some great lessons! 🙂

Did you purchase the ‘Making sense of Affiliate Marketing’ course by Michelle? If so, how did you find it? I’m contemplating it 🙂

Yes I did purchase it. I really loved it! There were so many good tips that I didn’t even know about or think about but that are so important to understand. I definitely recommend it 🙂 The tips that really helped me out were all of the legalities behind blogging that I didn’t know about. But now after taking this course I know I have kept my site up and running and have done it the correct way.
